The themes are often related to criminal investigation, surveillance and emergency operations, licensing services and the effectiveness of these activities overall. Areas of interest also include police operation support systems, strategies and tactics.

Police in Society: This area of research examines the police force as a social player. The research often examines the relationship between the police and other institutions in society, the relationship between the police and citizens, changes in the operational environment for the police, crime and internal security challenges in general. |
