The police have to operate in a variety of different conditions in Finland. They must be able to get about in narrow city streets, country roads, fells, coastal and inland waters etc. Great seasonal differences increase the demands on police vehicles.
The means of transport used by the police are car, bicycle, boat, jetski, motorcycle, motor scooter, snowmobile and horseback.
