Transfer of firearms between EU countries

If the transfer of firearms does not take place by virtue of the firearms pass, the person must always have a transfer permit granted by the country of origin. To get this permit, prior consent granted by the authorities in the destination country is usually required.

Holders of a Nordic firearms permit or licence can travel to another Nordic country for a hunting or target shooting event if they can present a possession permit issued in their home country and an invitation to the hunting or shooting event.
