Driving instruction licenceA driving instruction licence can be granted by the police for a set period, and by law, a new licence cannot be granted without a valid reason. The fee is payable as the application for a licence is submitted. An instructor may simultaneously hold a licence to instruct two learner drivers at the most. Before starting to give driving instruction leading to a licence in categories B, AM, A1, A2 and A, a person who does not have a driving instructor qualification must, together with the learner, take part in training that supports instruction under a driving instruction licence at a driving school. The training provided by a driving school must be completed before instruction under a driving instruction licence begins. A driving instruction licence can be granted before the joint training for the instructor and the learner has been completed. The instructor and the learner must carry a certificate stating that they have completed this training when instruction is being provided. Driving instruction licence for a category B vehicle: A category B driving instruction licence is issued for two years, and it can at the earliest be granted when the learner turns 17.
