Licences for certain game machines and equipment

The police can grant a licence to a natural person, organization or foundation conferring the right to keep available for public use against a charge hand-operated wheels of fortune and game machines and game equipment acquired before June 1, 1970 with which the player may win an article or other monetary benefit or counters exchangeable for them. Amusement parks and fun fairs can also be granted a licence for other types of game machines and game equipment with which the player can win articles as prizes.

The licence must be applied for in writing from the State local district police department where the machine or equipment is to be used. A licence can be granted for up to one year at a time. Prizes obtained from game machines or game equipment must not exceed 35 euros.

If the machine or equipment is slot-operated, it must be equipped with a payment-monitoring device inspected and approved by an inspection body.

When applying for a licence for game machines and game equipment, you must have a completed licence application for the use of certain game machines and game equipment.
