Degrading the driving licence category

The police may change the right to drive of licence holders who no longer fulfil the necessary requirements for a driving licence permit. The right to drive may be changed permanently or temporarily for up to two years to correspond to the licence requirements that the person fulfils.

A temporarily changed right to drive may be restored to normal during the specified period if the licence holder can prove that he or she fulfils the necessary licence requirements.

A special condition to be attached to a driving licence

Conditions and restrictions may be attached to a driving licence. For example, these may include a requirement of wearing glasses or using other aids when driving. These conditions and restrictions are entered on the reverse side of the driving licence as numbers.

The conditions and restrictions attached to a driving licence may be altered by decision of the police for a justified cause.
