security steward With due regard to the extent and nature of the event, or for any other special reason, the local police department within whose area of jurisdiction the event is located may certify a person without the required basic training as a security steward for an individual event arranged under the Assembly Act. Certification is valid only for the duration of the event as specified in the licence. In addition, the local police department within whose area of jurisdiction the event is located may grant certification for up to four months per year to a person without the basic security steward training if the events are arranged by the same organiser at the same location and they are similar in nature. However, the requirement for temporary security steward certification is that the person has reached the age of 18 years, is suitable for the job and has accepted the assignment. Back \| Print page
