Indicating purpose of use
When applying for a permit for hunting or target shooting, the applicant must provide reliable documentation about the activities to be carried out. If the applicant has a hunting licence or a shooting club membership card, this must be shown when submitting the permit application.
When applying for a permit for work-related purposes, applicants must provide documentation showing that they have received training for, or are otherwise familiar with, the safe handling of the firearm and that they have an acceptable reason for carrying a firearm in their work. This may be indicated, for example, by a certificate from the employer.
When applying for a permit for a firearm on the grounds of keeping it as a memento, the applicant must provide a written account of the reasons why the weapon has special value as a memento.
A guardian whose underage dependant is granted a parallel permit for a firearm owned by the guardian may simultaneously be granted a permit for the firearm on the grounds of storing and transport. In this case, the guardian does not have the right to fire the gun.
